We believe great wine begins with listening. At Whiskey Creek, we don’t manipulate nature. We walk with it. Every decision is shaped by what the land is telling us. From vineyard to bottle, we work with care and intention to let the purity of the site come through. No shortcuts. No overworking. Just honest wine that reflects where it comes from.
Long before this was a vineyard, it was our family home – a place to pause, connect, and celebrate life’s moments. When we planted our first vines, we chose varietals close to our hearts: Chenin Blanc, inspired by our mom’s love for it, and a Méthode Cap Classique bubbly because it’s the bottle we most love to open and share. They were varietals no one had tried here in the Crags, but they were the ones we wanted on our table with friends and family.
Today, our wines are shaped by the valley’s cool climate, creek-fed soils, and bold spirit. The coarse, mineral-rich ground challenges the vines and rewards them with structure and complexity. Every glass speaks of our home and our hands.

The estate
Whiskey Creek runs through the lower valley of the Crags, Plettenberg Bay. This unique microclimate brings cooler temperatures and natural acidity that gives our wines tension, freshness and elegance.
Our gravelly, mineral-rich soil adds structure and depth. It’s tough on the vines, and that’s a good thing. The fruit ripens slowly, picking up layered complexity and balance.
Gentle sunlight, ocean breezes and overnight cool-downs all shape the expression of our fruit. It’s a place that gives us clarity, both in wine and in purpose.

This vineyard was born from a shared vision and a deep love for this place. The Wilsons are hands-on in every step … from planting to blending to sharing the stories behind each bottle.
